Cleaning day!

Today is cleaning day here. Let me solve a myth. Some people think I like cleaning....HA! I do not enjoy cleaning!! BUT, I enjoy a clean house, so I do it. I've seen those cartoons saying they start cleaning and never finish cause they keep moving onto something else. I am SUPER organized with my cleaning, whether it's my daily housework or my big cleaning day like today. Today I will start with picking up around here. I wash all throw blankets and rugs. Then dust every room. Then I dust mop under everything and run the swiffer (wood floors throughout excet bedrooms). Then vacuum all furniture and under all furniture. Then vacuum area rugs and bedrooms, then mop. Lastly the utility room. I scrub the cat feeding area with a scrub brush, scrub utility tub, wipe down washer and dryer and lastly, mop in there. I do bathrooms and bedding on separate day, which was Tuesday this week. So, are you organized or do you jump around room to room? Maybe you do one room at a time. I like do a task at a time, like all the vacuuming, etc. 

I grew up with a working mom and don't really remember her doing housework during the week. I remember her cleaning like crazy on Saturday mornings. I'd wake up to the vacuum and laundry. She also baked on Saturday's.  As I got into my teenage years I was the one who cleaned. I got $10 a week to vacuum, dust, wash dishes, mop kitchen, sheets and cleaning bathrooms. I thought I was making some money haha. I also got dinner started a lot. She would have a roast or something in the fridge and I'd call her at work after school and she'd tell me how to get it started.

 So I guess my mom set me up to be a housewife!
